To celebrate International Yoga Day the Brighton Yoga Foundation will be offering two free online community yoga classes. These are a taste of our current online Community Outreach Programme, which offers free, gentle, and accessible yoga to many vulnerable members of our community. We encourage anyone who feels they might benefit physically or emotionally from some gentle yoga, to join us on Sun 21st June.

Chair Yoga - Sunday 21st June 10 AM - All welcome (45 minutes)
This very gentle yoga practice (which can also be practiced from a mat) is designed for those with reduced stability, mobility, or other
physical restrictions. You will be guided through gentle joint rotations, stretches, breath awareness, and guided relaxation to bring some ease into the body and mind.
Therapeutic Yoga - Sunday 21st June 2pm WOMEN only - (45 minutes)
This class is designed to gently address some of the physical and emotional challenges faced by those suffering with chronic physical and mental health conditions. Through a combination of gentle, trauma aware movement, breathwork, and meditation techniques, the class enables participants to reconnect to awareness of mind and body. This class is a reflection of the yoga that the BYF currently offer as part of their community outreach programme.

Class details: Hatha yoga is a calming, gentle and supportive form of yoga which increases mind-body awareness. classes are flowing and meditative, so you should leave feeling calm and relaxed, as well as stretched. the content of each class differs from week to week so that you can enjoy variety. classes may include breath work (pranayama) and meditation, and end with a period of relaxation.

Class details: Join us for a Soulful Sunday session to celebrate International Yoga Day that incorporates a back to basics yoga flow with the use of sound healing through singing bowls and closing with a restful yoga nidra.

Class details: The theme will be 'staying connected' and 10 of their teachers are teaching a 2 hours long class together.
On this international yoga day The About Balance team @balancebrighton is doing one mega class, taught by 12 of their amazing teachers, expect to try many styles, and come share the love with our community.
Each will teach about 10-15 min creating a beautiful, powerful sequence to make this International yoga day the best it can be.
They will be collecting donations for the Brighton BAME community centre (BMECP) and have been in contact with them about how to make yoga and wellbeing more approachable and accessible to the BAME community in Brighton.
