Yoga for Mental Health

Brighton Yoga Foundation launched yoga and mindfulness sessions. We want to reach out to adults and young people who could benefit from yoga, but may not have the chance to access it. All sessions are free of charge, run by specialist teachers, and open to all abilities.

A project collaboration with MIND, situated at The Crew Club in Whitehawk. The classes ran for over 3 months, and had a great impact on the group that attended. It was lovely to see the development in confidence, self esteem, and hear such positive comments from our participants like:

mindfulness

‘My back feels so much better. I was very stressed when I arrived and now feel more able to cope with the situation at hand.’

‘This is the one place I come to where I get so totally absorbed in something that I forget the time, forget all my worries.’

This project comes to its natural close at the end of March, and we are grateful to everyone that supported the class.
