Ange Knight

Hello, I’m Angeleen, known to most as Ange. I was born and raised in a rural town in Western Australia and moved to the UK in 2015. I now live in the beautiful city of Brighton with my husband George and our Labrador Ralph.

My yoga journey started in my 20's and slowly without my even realising it became a part of my internal essence. After many years of practice, I decided to pursue my study and in 2021 I undertook my yoga teacher training. Initially for myself but through self discovery it has become a way of living my life in a more conscious and giving way.

The sun was an ever present force in my early years and it continues to inspire me to bring the same uplifting energy to my classes. The focus through my teachings is to lead students to flow with an open heart, honouring the beauty of your own unique body as we as we uncover freedom and joy through mindful movement.
as we uncover freedom and joy through mindful movement.

Namaste - with gratitude.

Anil Rawal

I qualified with the LYTTC which is a Scaravelli based training. The Yoga I teach combines a Scaravelli inspired regard for grounding, breathing and releasing, with elements of Somatic movement, Qigong practices and Pranayama. These practices are combined in different ways to work with the nervous system and expand our ability to notice our habitual ways of moving, promoting release of tension and greater fluidity in everyday life.

Anne Remy

Hi! I'm Anne. I’m a Brighton-based 500hr RYT. I'm also a psychotherapist and breathwork facilitator. I'm from the United States but lived in Taiwan and Lebanon before moving to the UK.

I teach Vinyasa and am also a TCTSY Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator.
I believe our bodies are maps of untold stories; yoga allows us the change to tell those stories and connect with ourselves in a more meaningful. My Vinyasa classes are meant to be challenging and relaxing, playful and explorative, but above all, I design my classes to inspire curiosity in my students.

TCTSY is a clinical intervention for complex trauma and treatment-resistant PTSD. As a TCTSY facilitator, I offer a non-judgmental, inclusive space to support your exploration. I do not hold expectations, offer adjustments or make interpretations, I simply allow you to exist and be curious in a safe space.

I believe that yoga is for every body and everybody. I try to keep my language accessible and my teaching relatable.

Charlie Nash

I teach Mindful Hatha Flow classes, that are set at a gentle pace that blends together, traditional yoga postures, flow movements and breath, creating space to become more sensitive to what the body needs from each posture.
The classes allow for individual creativity to be expressed within flow sequences and empowers the individual to develop self-trust and make subtle adjustments as needed to stay relaxed within each asana.

My other passion in yin yoga, a quiet practice where you can find relaxation and calm, and are able to take the time to focus on yourself and how your body is responding to each pose. Entwined into the classes are mindfulness and opportunities to step back and connect deeply with self and the breath.

I have also done additional training in Yoga with Qigong, Yoga for Healing and Recovery: moving beyond stress, trauma, burnout, anxiety, fatigue and post-illness through embodied awareness, Yin Yoga, Teen yoga and child yoga.

Charlotte Watts

I teach mixing different yoga aspects, all with an emphasis on creating safety and calm within the nervous system. That means lots of time and space to explore, focus on the breath and working with, not against our bodies. A more meditative than dynamic practice, but deeply physical in that it helps to unlock stress buried in tissues.

The actual content mixes floor-based somatic work, plenty of loosening of key areas of tension like necks, hips and lower backs, building up to stronger stuff unless a more restorative session.

I teach yoga with much meditation space, a focus on embodied awareness and the polarity of stillness/movement that the 21st century person often need....! I don’t give a ‘level’ to classes as suitable for all and about exploring our own needs, poses always have any modifications people need and I mix in aspects like somatics, Feldenkrais, Qi Gong for fascial movement without too much attachment to form.

Chloe Ward-Smith

The majority of my classes are Vinyasa flow with a soundtrack of international rhythms and Afro beats. Coming from an artistic background I enjoy teaching creative flows which are challenging and relaxing in equal measure. I also teach Ashtanga and Hatha Flow, and I have recently started a new slow-paced Flow yoga class which has an extremely meditative effect and is also very challenging physically.

I have been practising yoga for about twelve years, my family were regular practitioners of yoga and meditation so I grew up with this all around me. I studied for my 200 Hour TTC at Yoga Alliance Accredited school 'Trimurti Yoga,' and have been teaching in a number of different settings, including studios, businesses and one to one classes.

Claudia Steinhauser

Hello, let me introduce myself. My name is Claudia and I live now in Hove and I have been giving yoga classes internationally since 2004. My classes stress emphasis on self-awareness and involve a mindful flow adapting yoga postures to a modern body.

At present after many classroom sessions, I focus mainly on private 121s, yoga holidays and the teacher training. My background is working for human rights in London when I started yoga classes in the late 90s. When living in Spain, I worked in colaboration with Proyecto Hombre giving classes to former drug and alchhol addicts. In India, I gave classes to a children NGO.

Dan Alliot

Current weekly class : Unity Studio, BN2, Wednesdays 8-9pm
My yoga lessons are informal, relaxed and welcoming to all participants, from Beginners to more Advanced, and those who consider themselves able or experienced as well as those who may have physical conditions, constraints or even inhibitions.
Body Aware yoga is based upon the Hatha tradition, and alongside the traditional postures, movements and asana you may expect to see, typical sessions include simple Pranayama practice (working with the breath), guided relaxation or meditation.
The physical practice in my sessions is designed to be easily adapted to suit all needs as the emphasis is on equipping the practitioner with the tools and awareness needed to get the most out of sessions. With an awareness of what we are doing and why, practitioners can practise safely and by taking the focus of their practise to meet their aims - whether these concentrate on balance, strength, tone, flexibility or relaxation.

Dominique De-Light

I trained as a children's yoga teacher in 2018 after practicing yoga for over 15 years. My sessions teach children yoga poses, mindfulness & meditation techniques, games that increase focus & concentration & include discussions encouraging empathy & connection. Previously, I ran a charity for 11 years, working with adults with complex physical/mental health needs. I wanted to work with children so that they would have the tools to avoid or manage these complex problems. I teach in five B&H Primary Schools with kids aged 5-12, specialising in kids that are vulnerable &/or live in deprived areas.

I am also an accredited leadership coach, trained in neuro linguistic programming, non-violent communication & coaching techniques. By using these skills, & my years of experience of working with people with complex mental and physical needs, I show children how to build on their own resources, believe in themselves & learn the tools for positive life-long mental & physical health.

Emily Scott

I teach a slow but strong vinyasa flow, mixed in with pranayama, restorative, and yoga nidra. My classes are pretty strong, but I try to make them accessible for all levels. I'm passionate about using the breath as a tool to create change in the body and the mind. I aim to create a space for people to improve their lives from the inside out. My yoga practice and my teaching change every day because I'm constantly learning about the body, the breath, the spirit, how we move, why we move, and how it all relates ... and this exploration fascinates me and keeps me moving, breathing, and trying to share my findings.

I've completed a 200-hour vinyasa flow certification in London, a 35-hour restorative yoga training with Anna Ashby at Triyoga, and 18 months of mentoring from Naomi Absalom. I also assist on the Be Yoga Teacher Training program, and absolutely love working with new and trainee teachers.

Yoga and movement inspired by Vanda Scaravelli with a twist of functional movement. Explore light-hearted embodiment.

I’ve practised Scaravelli-inspired yoga since 2004, have an interest in yoga therapy, pelvic floor function and expanding diversity in Western yoga. I’m an ex- capoeira and athletics junkie.

Yoga helped me rehabilitate from pain and injury, juggle a busy family life with a stressful corporate job and to navigate relationships both with myself and others more compassionately. I’m thrilled to be able to share yoga and movement practices in community at Unit 4.

I’ve been teaching since 2019. I am a 500 hr qualified (Integrity School of Yoga 2017-2019, Heart + Bones Yoga Oct-May 2021), registered with the Independent Yoga Network and insured by BGi. My main teachers and influences in yoga are Suzy Greenwood (nee Daw), Dot Bowen, John Stirk and Becky Barkans, all of whom are regular practitioners with Diane Long, a long-term student of Vanda Scaravelli’s.
