Om Retreats is a yoga retreat organisation with a difference. They offer yoga retreats in beautiful locations around the South East, from half days to long weekends. But Om Retreats is a non-profit organisation. All profits go directly towards running free of charge yoga for their charity partners.
The effects of yoga can be transformative, especially for people experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression or illness. Their purpose is therefore to offer yoga to vulnerable groups who will really benefit from it, but may not otherwise be able to access it.
Om Retreats currently work with 3 charities – Macmillan, Rise and Survivors Network. Macmillan support people affected by cancer. Rise and Survivors Network support women affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Om Retreats have hosted several half day retreats for them in the Sussex countryside, a regular weekly class for each charity, and offered funded places on weekend retreats.
This model of working is at the heart of Om Retreats, and is what inspires them to grow the organisation. Their paying clients know that the money they spend is directly helping someone else to benefit from the nourishing practice of yoga.
