Yoga fascia and the elastic body – Gary Carter

With over 35 years of experience, Gary is recognised internationally as one of the UK’s leading Anatomy and Movement teachers. He is a myofascial manual therapist, personal trainer, shiatsu and craniosacral practitioner, anatomy and fascial anatomy lecturer and also a yoga teacher and teacher trainer. He lectures and teaches in Movement and Fascial Anatomy for schools of massage, physiotherapy, osteopathy, Yoga & Pilates teacher trainings. He started the Natural Bodies Yoga and movement Centre in Brighton, UK, in 1991, training and encouraging ease of movement, efficient body use in exercise, sport and many movement disciplines including Yoga, Pilates, Gyrotonics, Martial Arts and Fascial Movement practices. 

Please donate generously as all proceeds from the festival will be used to support our year-round community yoga outreach programmes.
£10 pays for 15 mins of yoga with vulnerable teens
£20 pays for 30 mins of yoga to support women affected by domestic violence
£30 pays for the foundation to purchase vital resources to deliver our classes
£40 pays a teacher to deliver a yoga class to those affected by mental health

  1. That I am participating in a Yoga class offered by Brighton Yoga Foundation which I will receive information and instruction about yoga, physical exercise or health. I recognise that exercise requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the yoga classes, health programs or workshops offered by my instructor or substitute teacher. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition, which would prevent my full participation in these yoga classes, health programmes or workshops.
  3. I hereby take full and sole responsibility for any liability of loss or damage to personal property associated with yoga classes or any other events.
  4. I understand that photographs may be taken and used for publicity purposes.
